Teacamp is…

A monthly informal get together of digital communicators, web developers / designers, social media specialists and small / medium enterprises who work in government, with government and outside of government. Share ideas, solve problems, learn something new. Open to all.

This month:
  • Denise McDonagh will provide both an operational and a programme view of Cloud, from her position as Director of ICT for Home Office, and Deputy Programme Lead for the G-cloud for Government. She will update on the progress with new G-cloud framework and will offer her views on how Government is progressing with the challenge of the ‘Unacceptable’. Denise will also talk about using cloud services in government and getting to grips with the Government Application Store.
  • James Smith who works with Tonino Ciuffini, Head of Information Assets at Warwickshire County Council, a foundation partner on the government’s G-Cloud programme with talk about their recent project migrating the email service from on-premise to Google Apps public cloud solution providing insight into lessons learned and top tips.
  • The event will be held on Thursday 16th February from 4 pm – 6pm at

Chris Chant, Programme Director for the Government’s G-cloud initiative gave his ‘Unacceptable’  speech about how the new G-Cloud is a sign of public sector IT becoming more flexible, modern and better value and offering the ‘first pay as you go’ approach to IT.
Steve Fosten, Senior Safer Neighbourhoods Officer from North Lincolnshire Council talked about how Cloud had allowed all the emergency services to be linked up for the very first time.
